In the midst of the doubts these experiences and questions can bring, I think it’s deeply important that we don’t allow these doubts and questions to keep us from engaging those around us.
When it comes time for you to speak up, when it’s time for you to do something you don’t want to do but you know God is calling you to do, when it comes time for that difficult conversation, and even when it comes time to die, God will provide you with the strength you need in that moment.
So much of our work here on earth is planting seeds. Most of the time, we don’t get to see the “harvest” or the change of mind at that moment. People’s views about abortion are deeply influenced by their life experiences and many other difficult factors, making it highly unlikely that you will see an immediate change of mind during the conversation.
Laws do not prevent all people from engaging in a particular action, but that does not mean we should not have legislation against a particular act if it is harming or killing another person.
God is working behind the scenes in the hearts of the people in front of us. Every once in awhile, He allows us to see the work He is doing by the power of the Holy Spirit.
