Since 2016, Rebekah has been talking to people about abortion on college and university campuses and has since had over 600 conversations on 23 different universities and campuses across the United States. She served as the vice president and then president of the Student’s for Life club at Palomar College where she was first able to regularly experience having conversations with people about abortion.
In the spring and fall of 2019, Rebekah had the privilege of volunteering with Justice For All and then went on to intern for them in the spring of 2020. In August of 2020, she joined their staff as a Training Specialist. Justice For All’s methodology and training has had the most influence on her manner of communicating with people about difficult issues. She’s learned the most important thing in conversations with others is not to “win” the argument. The important thing is to love the person standing in front of you. It’s crucial to listen to them, find common ground, and communicate truth to people in the context of compassion and patience.
Rebekah is a contributing writer for Human Defense Initiative and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal studies from Liberty University where she graduated in 2019.
